Which is the artifact?
Quickie between Corel Painter and Photoshop. I get an old school kind of feel when I look at this. Probably just me. Comments
 There is an air of an old-schoolian variety... it's rather nice and I like it, but I think that something is lost in the execution of the "friend" as there is something terribly obvious about its creation... bah, probably unimportant, but if you didn't want my opinion I guess you wouldn't have selected "advanced critique encouraged". It's good, I like it.
-- "Vous pouvez ne jamais dire avec des abeilles…" — Pooh  Color choice rocks. I would use this as a postcard. Only the shape of the legs... and the title...
-- random strangeness Yeah he seems out of place and I should try harder to make it look more apart of the picture.
I love critique, so keep it coming!  Nice, looks like the guy's on fire, unless he is, than that's even better
